Learn to Curl

Four great curling experience offerings to bring you to the ice and sweep like the pros!

New Curler Clinic

The New Curler Clinic experience is a three-session instructional course to get you ready for playing in your first curling game. Learn the basics of delivery, sweeping, and strategy. After completing the New Curler Clinic, decide if you’ll join us for the rest of the season in League Play.

Juniors Program

Our Juniors Program is open to aspiring curlers ages 6 to 21 of all skills and abilities. Junior membership is available for children from MCC member families as well as non-members. Instruction and practice equipment is provided. All instructors are SafeSport certified.

Open House

Our Open Houses are a one time ‘crash-course-bucket-list’ experience. Join us for an hour of rapid-fire instruction to get your feet wet (or cold!) on the ice.

Open Houses are typically held at the beginning and end of our season.

Try Curling

Get a one or multiple time curling experience without being a full-time member!

Try Curling outings are held throughout the curling season, in-between our Open Houses.

Mayfield Curling Club offers private Try Curling outings for corporations, sports teams, school/youth groups, or social and community groups.

Testimonials

I was introduced to curling at a workplace outing at Mayfield Curling Club. Other than brief glimpses of the Olympic event, I knew nothing about the rules or scoring. It was so much fun and easy to learn! My teenage son really enjoyed himself and wants to go back to improve his skill. It is a great sport for all ages to play, whether for an enjoyable social gathering, a weekly fun league or training for athletic competition.

I have assisted in many corporate/private events and open houses over the years and am always impressed with how quickly people catch on. The sessions are well organized and staffed by skilled instructors who make it possible for participants to learn some basics and have fun!
